Hi,

 

I have just installed IDEA 13 on a windows 7 machine. I have managed to get Karma test debugging to work about 5 times. Now it pretty much always fails with a error message in the event log: "17:11:30 Error running all: No debuggable browser found"

 

This is not true. I have the latest Chrome(Version 32.0.1700.41 m Aura) installed and I use it regularly to debug the applicaiton I am developing.

 

Other things I have observed:

- Even when I kill all the running karma tests I often find node.exe and phantomjs.exe running in my task manager

- I have completely re-installed nodejs and karma on the odd chance that something was corrupted

 

Anyone else encounter this?

Hi,

 

 

is anyone aware of a way to use JSPs that are contained in a maven dependency rather than in a directory on the file system?

 

I'm trying to make IntelliJ resolve JSP inclusions that are contained in an artifact that is accessible through Maven (but it's not a war file, but a custom bundling where web resources are contained in a non-standard path).

Tried Tunnellij, but it doesn't seem to work.It listens..... but doesn't do anything else, no logging on the console and didn't pass the request to the destination.

 

 

Want to check if others has any good sugguestions before I download couple others outdated plugin for testing.....

 

I am using Intellij 13. For the Intellij support team, this is a good function to have. Eclipse has it out of the box.

Having a problem with a project migrated from IDEA 12. What's happening is IDEA13 is showing all imported our contexts as missing resources. Even though they're clearly present and the application runs without problems.  It seems there is a regression here as the Spring facet worked fine in IDEA 12 locates all imported contexts. The Spring Facet details are exactly the same as IJ12, indeed reopening same project file in 12 doesn't show the same issue.

 

Because IDEA13 fails to resolve these contexts I get warnings every time I open the project over missing configurations (they're not missing). Also the warning on the Spring facet settings page becomes ridiculously large taking up 90% of the dialog height (see screenshots).

 

Struggling to understand the root cause, the Spring facet seems correct, it should include imported resources. I tried creating a simple test project, but so far IDEA13 isn't showing the same error. I've also tried deleting and rebuilding the IJ13 facet context, even tried creating a new IJ13 project from the project pom, but still see the missing resources in the full project. Bit stumped here - anybody know what's likely to have changed between 12 & 13?

Hi all

 

For each module you can select the compiler output path. We would like Intellij 13 to use the same output path as gradle (build/classes/main inside the module), which means we need to configure the output path for each module. However, when using the new gradle synchronization feature in Intellij 13, the Compiler Ouput is set back to "Inherit project compile output path" every time intellij re-generates the .iml file because we update the .gradle file - I would considder this a bug.

In IntelliJ 12, with the NodeJS plugin v129.714, there was an option to set the "local directory" and "remote path". This was required for me to map my source folders to my development VM , otherwise the remote debugger would not recognize source files and break points.  Once those settings were filled, everything worked correctly. Now, with Intellij 13, the NodeJS plugin has removed those fields, and now my source files and break points are no longer recognized. How does one work around this?

I'm not sure how long this has been happening, but I recently discovered the Find Usages dialog is no longer working for me properly and is not giving me options to to find Getters and Setters or Implementing methods and such.  I'm only getting options for finding text occurrences and skipping results for only one usage.  Did I accidently change some setting or misconfigure something somehow?  I haven't been able to find any dialogs to restore the options and it's making it real hard to trace how and where some of my code is being used--expecially overridden methods and not being able to find usages of Getters and Setters for properties.

 

I'm working with java projects and my IntelliJ version is 12.1.6.  I found a forum post that suggested Invalidating My Caches but doing that had no apparent effect.

 

Would appreciate any help.

The screenshot shows the file "paf-rules.testing.properties" is grayed out - since I have performed  Right Click | Cut  on it.   But I am unable to "paste" it into any other folder - even though Right Click | Paste is enabled when I click on another folder.  What is going on ?

Hi,

 

I am having a problem in IntellJ IDEA 13 when I am using the alt+tab key combination. Sometimes, it doesn't work and the focus still stays on IDEA and not the other window I am tabbing into. I think I do not encounter this in version 12. Hope for some response from any of you guys.

Hello!

 

I want disable autocomplete of android layout sizes (layout_width and layout_height), when I choose tag's name from autocomplete. How can I do it?

Or can I set up my own style of autocomple in android layout text editor, because I write each attribute on separate line?

Hi,

 

Everytime the project is refreshed, seems like IntelliJ IDEA 13 / Gradle is trying to update build.gradle. My build.gradle files are in SCM and is not checked out. So I see message asking to clear read-only status. 

1. What is it trying to add to build.gradle?
2. After I say 'ok' to clearing the read-only status, when I check the differences, there are no differences. So why is intellij asking me to change the read-only status or check out the file (after I configure the version control preferences)?

 

Similarly, in some cases, intellj 13 is asking to check out the gradle-wrapper.properties file (which is also in SCM).

I created an sbt project and then added an other sbt module. For the sbt module, src/main/scala folder didn't exist, so I created it manually. Even so, intellij didn't detect it as a

source folder. After I manually marked it as a source folder, in the "New" menu there were no options to create a scala class.

 

sbt compiles files under src/main/scala correctly.

 

Any ideas what might be wrong?

I have the pleasure of using both IntelliJ and Resharper.

 

What I have noticed is the Resharper unit test runner is awesome, the Intellij one, slightly less awesome.

 

In Reshaper, if you run a suite of tests and have a failure, you can click and re-run a failed test, it then leaves the previously run suite, and just 'spins' the failed test in place.

Basically this allows you to work through your failures one at a time, without loosing the 'current suite status'

 

The IntelliJ test runner throws away the entire suite every execution., and just runs that single test as a new suite.

 

Perhaps there is just some setting I am missing in IntelliJ, if not can you make the IntelliJ test runner awesome too?
