Goto next/previous splitter doesn't move caret

Hi,

I've been trying to work with split editors to take better advantage of my widescreen display but it seems that the goto next/previous splitter actions aren't working properly. If I use the assigned key or the menu item the highlighted split and title bar change but the caret remains on the original side and all editing actions take place on the original file. Do these methods work for any one else? Is there any way to get them to function properly?

I'm using Idea 13.0.1 build 133.331 on OS X 10.9.1.
